Diversity and Disability Awarneness Fair
Date: October 14, 2009
Time: 10am-1pm
Place: Floyd Payne on 2nd floor (by information desk)
Note: MCFS will be participating in this event. If you are still interested in volunteering please contact Whitley Alexander.
III. Future Activities:
A. Spring Celebration
- Usually held during the spring semester around March or April
- (added activity) the different countries would set up a table during event, which will display your country
- Need volunteers to help set up for this event
Note: Don’t have to be a member to participate and/or volunteer for this event and as for now the date is tentative
B. Seminar- “Coming to America”
TSU representatives (undergraduate students and graduate students) from different countries come and talk to new international students about their experience at TSU and Nashville
Date: November 11, 2009
Time: 6pm-8pm
Place: Forum (tentative)
- Need volunteers for this event

C. Adopt A Country (tentative)
- Collect money for different countries to send over books and other essential supplies
D. Seminar- “Bridging the Gap” (tentative)
International and National students speak about stereotypes they have been familiarized with and how do they feel about those sterotypes now
E. Host and exchange student (tentative)
In this process you are able to be acquainted with an international student and host him around Nashvlle, the campus and places that are essential
Note: This event is only held during the beginning of the year
A. MCFS Potluck (tentative)
- Members will be able to go somewhere to discuss what is going on in the organization, ideas and suggestions
IV: Fundraiser
B. Cultural Dinner Night (tentative)
- Students pay $5 dollars to enjoy an evening of different types of food from other countries, dance and see other people from other countries perform
